King Jazz was the label under which the Mezzrow-Becnei 1945/47 recordings were originally issued.
In 1960 Mr. Mezzrow sold it to Alessandro Protti, the Italian Music Producer and Johnny Dodds specialist.
KING JAZZ came back in business in 1992 with 71 CDs and now a new 50 CD collection has been
conceived to cross jazz as a culture into the third millenium for the benefit of the past, the present and
the generations to come.
